When I was looking at softwares for sale I compared in 2005 Act and Maximizer, Max was offering way more points that I was looking for. I tested Act2010 and it look like a copy of Max, but some stuff that I like in max: if the phone ring it open a windows, find your customer file open it for you. I din’t dig but I din’t found such thing in Act 2010. It looked a little faster than Max, but some features act don’t have anyway.

I love how much the user can:
customize the fields
search by custom pirameters
store all pertinent data for customers/prospects in a central data storage system
My only disappointment is that free phone technical support is limited to just the first 30 days after registration

We all have challenges trying to get as much done in as little time as possible. This program is pretty good when it comes to locating things, but it is still a little slow as far as databases go. On the posotive, the history feature is really usefull, and there doesn’ seem to be anythign available off-the-shelf that compares at this price. Just wish it were faster.

I took a risk with ACT! by Sage 2010 even after reading the positive and negative comments posted on Amazon. Don’t make the same mistake I did and purchase this product. After installing it, I immediately began to have problems with MS Word and Outlook. I called the tech support number listed on the website and got this recording, “…in an effort to best support our customers, ALL of our support staff is currently in training…” I tried several other times with similar results. Makes me wonder if there really is a tech support staff or if they’re ALL getting training how knowledgable will they be of the product. I tried the online chat but, there was a charge for this service. This is becoming a nightmare…
